The Cooper Wagon Works building located at 3rd and Main Streets was one of the first major rehabilitation projects to take place in downtown Dubuque. The building was originally constructed for and housed a horse-pulled wagon manufacturer. In 2001, developers had a vision to rehabilitate the building into an entertainment complex including nightclubs, restaurants, and a banquet hall. Dubuque Initiatives facilitated the property transfer of the
building. Today, the Cooper Wagon Works building’s historical charm is enjoyed by the restaurant patrons who enter its threshold as well as residents in the upper apartments.
